Our Service:

headspace centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

On offer:

• Opportunity based in either headspace Woolloongabba or headspace Nundah
• Flexible working hours/days - ideally 1 day per week
• Open to discussions regarding remuneration packages
• Access to professional training /development
• Onsite clinical support
• Full reception and administrative support

Role overview:

• Provide high standard GP assessments of young people experiencing physical and mental health issues.
• Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Creating Mental Health Care Plans for internal referrals, Psychiatrist and Allied Health Services.
• Providing high quality, primary health care services to those accessing headspace.
• Respond to medical/health concerns presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate.
• Encourage and support young people to engage with sexual health and drug and alcohol services as well as preventative health care.

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
• A commitment to quality youth focused primary health care services to those accessing the Centre
• Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and a willingness to Bulk Bill
• Level 1 in Mental Health Skills Training
• Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
• Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
