Role Overview:

As a member of Stride’s Senior Leadership Team, the Regional Manager is integral to driving outstanding service delivery, effectively managing financial and operational budgets and ensuring Stride’s compliance with funding, quality, safety and reporting. 

Through effective leadership that aligns with Stride’s values, the Regional Manager leads, inspires, and supports multiple teams dedicated to mental health service delivery within the Southeast Queensland region. The current portfolio includes youth-centric services, namely at the headspace centres delivered by Stride as the lead agency.

This dynamic role also involves the Regional Manager partnering with Stride’s Business Development team and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance Stride’s funding partnerships and generate new funding opportunities that are in line with Stride’s strategic and operating plans.

With a passion for mental health and advocating for others and a genuine interest in servicing our communities, the Regional Manager works closely with internal stakeholders at Executive, management and operational levels of the business and externally with consumers, and their families, community advocates, service providers, funding bodies and consultants.

The Regional Manager can work flexibly from home two days per week while the remaining three days can be based at either of the headspace sites in Woolloongabba or Meadowbrook, while ensuring that there is presence at headspace Nundah, Ipswich and Beaudesert from time to time. With the need for travel, a driver’s license and access to own vehicle is required.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience in a multi-site environment and the ability to build high-performing teams with a focus on continuous improvement
  • A high level of business acumen with proven financial management, reporting and compliance experience, strong computer literacy and proficient verbal and written communications skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytic skills with the ability to deliver against funding requirements
  • Strong relationship, influencing and collaborative skills with the ability to foster productive partnerships and work within and across health service networks
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and make informed decisions
  • Ideally, have worked within mental health, or have an understanding of the Australian healthcare system, key issues in primary healthcare, and the mental health service system

You must also be eligible to apply for/currently hold a Blue Card and NDIS worker screening clearance for paid employment.
