Your Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Case Worker to join our Homelessness & Housing Services team in Wingecarribee. In this role, you’ll provide direct support to clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness, offering case management, advocacy, and referrals to essential services. Your work will play a key role in helping people regain stability and independence. 

Your Responsibility

  • Provide case work support to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop tailored support plans.
  • Offer crisis intervention, resources, and referrals to community services.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with government agencies, courts, and service providers.
  • Conduct home visits for clients in temporary or transitional accommodation.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and support networks.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment for clients.
  • Keep accurate records and case notes, ensuring compliance with service policies.

You Will Need

  • minimum Certificate IV in Welfare, Social Work, or a related field (or currently studying).
  • Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
  • A strong understanding of homelessness-related issues, including mental health, addiction, and family breakdown.
  • Knowledge of local support services and the ability to build strong community partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and commitment to safe work practices.
