Your Role

At Vinnies (NSW) we are reshaping our property team to deliver on our strategic goals, and to deliver growth in our mission and good works. We have created four new lead roles in the property team to facilitate these objectives - one of these new roles is Strategic Property Manager. As the Strategic Property Manager you will lead the planning, development and implementation of SVDP NSW’s strategic property plan across opportunities for mixed-use developments, acquisitions and divestments as determined through expert strategic planning.

It is an opportunity to show case your capability in leadership, collaborative working, delivering to strategic initiatives, business acumen and innovation in service delivery.

 You will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the property response to our strategic plan, identifying opportunities for developments, acquisitions and potential divestments.
  • Use your understanding and experience of property utilisation, development and planning to optimise the utilisation of our property portfolio.
  • Collaborate effectively across our organisation to define our property needs and identify opportunities to deliver these including in partnership with other organisations.

    Your Responsibility 

    • Establish a documented strategic property plan to address future land uses, services (mission and good works), programs and activities that optimise the utilisation of the Society’s property. 
    • Enable the SVDP NSW to optimise its land assets to deliver on SVDP NSW’s service priorities, mission and good works including the interpretation of services plans into property plans.
    • Contribute strategic property expertise to actively facilitate, curate and enable high quality development in partnership with other organisations including Community Housing Providers and private developers.
    • Undertake high-level development studies to identify highest-and-best use potential, required funding and potential return on investment.
    • Identify and assist to secure potential funding sources, and build constructive relationships with government, non-government organisations and stakeholders.
    • Design and develop project agreements and MOUs to guide partnerships developments.
    • Lead the preliminary planning and development of mixed-use developments on Society owned land, developing briefs with internal and external partners and defining innovative delivery approaches. 
    • Establish asset management plans to inform annual / cyclical asset plans for setting property improvement programs and budgets.

    You Will Need

    • Demonstrated ability in leading, planning and documenting long-term property plans.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities across and within several client service streams.
    • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance. 
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management or related fields.
