  • SCHCADS Award Rates + NFP salary packaging tax-free benefits, boosting your take-home pay by up to $18k.
  • Part-time role: approx. 23 hours per week, maximum-term contract until June 30, 2026
  • Rotating roster, including 2-3 shifts per week with 1 weekend shift every other weekend *penalty rates apply 

Your Role

As a Support Worker you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accommodation services to women and children in crisis, fostering a safe and welcoming environment. In this dynamic role, you'll handle client intake, room organisation, and daily operations while providing trauma-informed, respectful care. Your Responsibility

  • Create a safe, welcoming environment for all clients.
  • Orient new clients and manage room organisation after exits.
  • Collaborate with case workers and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintain cleanliness.
  • Implement client routines and support activities and programs.
  • Manage client and visitor flow safely and according to procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high-quality accommodation services.
  • Assist clients in following rules and meeting their primary needs.
  • Work within a risk management framework to ensure safety and WH&S standards.
  • Provide trauma-informed, respectful, and inclusive client support.
  • Collaborate with case workers on case plans and advocate for clients with external agencies.
  • Liaise with service staff to address client needs effectively and maintain professional client records.

You Will Need

  • Ability to work a rotating roster with a weekend shift every 2nd weekend.
  • Relevant Certificate, equivalent experience, or ongoing tertiary study in a related field.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in using sound judgment during crisis and emergency situations.
  • Committed to maintaining an ethical, non-judgmental approach toward residents and staff.
  • Consistent demonstration of high-quality standards.
  • Proficient in using client databases and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Current NSW driver’s license & Valid first aid certification.
