Your Role

As the Warehouse General Hand, you will assist in the daily operation of the warehouse and perform tasks as prescribed by the Warehouse Supervisor in accordance with the Society’s policies and procedures.

Your Responsibility

  • Supporting with unloading donations/stock from incoming trucks
  • Assist with sorting stock and bringing a brc within the warehouse
  • Loading trucks for distribution to Vinnies shops as needed
  • Assist with the picking of stock to complete orders
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for members, staff, and volunteers by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practices
  • Assist with the bailing of clothing
  • Contribute to the effective risk management protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment, and governance requirements

You Will Need

  • Experience within a warehouse facility (desirable)
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks required of this position within a warehouse environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Manual Handling procedures
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Thorough knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation and procedures
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce including employees and volunteers
