Stymie provides anonymous reporting.
Stymie empowers young people with options to take action when they are feeling alone, or if they see or experience harm.
They can ask for help for themself, or make a notification as a bystander for someone else.
Stymie is currently operating in over 200 Schools in Australia, New Zealand and The UAE. And we are just getting started!
It takes courage to say something or to ask for help.
Our focus is on breaking the cycle of harm through education, intervention and prevention. We know that the first step in breaking this cycle is to reduce the stigma associated with reaching out for help.
Stymie is available 24/7 and anonymous. It is easy to use and easy for schools to integrate into their wellbeing framework. We remain connected with our schools and the students with weekly touch points and follow up training that reaffirms the messages, support and guiding principles of our work. We provide expert training and guidance to onboard students, staff and the wider school community so that Stymieis utilised to its fullest potential, honourably and responsibly.

We are looking for some super humans (aka facilitators) to help launch Stymie around Australia. You are an engaging facilitator, empathetic and influential, and have experience working in wellbeing.
The role of the facilitator is to deliver our powerful launch day events in schools, clubs and associations. You will be teaching our communities about the responsible and careful use of Stymie whilst authentically presenting to the audience. Your presentations will encourage and empower people to connect with their empathy and conscience so that they can, in a courageous way, enhance or change their culture of care.
Importantly you are able to incorporate empathetic adult, youth and child learning principles into presentations, ensuring quality delivery in accordance with the content to be presented.
The role is contract and work from home.
Ideally you will be located in a major capital city.
You will be responsible for a region and it is expected that you will cultivate great relationships and networks within this region to strengthen our current network and further our reach within that region, by also bringing on new clients.
Present content developed by Stymie for launching our platform in schools, workplaces and communities.
Being available to discuss Stymie and answer questions with leadership, staff, students, team members appropriately and professionally.
Able to manage difficult conversations with care and in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines.
Professional attendance at conferences/meetings/functions as required for presentations and launches.
Be accountable for all relevant reports for each launch conducted as well as managing expenses, within the Stymie Policy & Procedures.
Be available for Monthly virtual Stymie team meetings and available for annual team event(s).
Work as part of a team in service to Stymie’s vision, mission and guiding principles.
Be self-managed, ensuring your calendar is up to date to schedule presentations and launch events.

The work is mentally and emotionally demanding. We encourage you to participate in self-care activities.
Demonstrated high level of experience in facilitating/delivering both via video and face to face training to adults, youth and children.
Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to deal with questions and concerns in a professional, sensitive and confidential manner.
Demonstrated experience in the child protection sector with a focus on wellbeing including mental health is highly desirable.
Qualifications in Psychology/Counselling/Social Work/Law and membership with the appropriate governing body, or a willingness to work towards this, are desirable.
High calibre organisational and planning skills, including the ability to plan travel and work schedule and prioritising to meet timelines, in line with role requirements.
Must have or be willing to apply for a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and/or state equivalent.
You must possess a current drivers licence and willingness to travel (including overnight trips will be a requirement of this role).
You need to possess personal qualities of integrity, sound judgement, empathy, and respect for all individuals.
A passion for child protection and youth-driven issues.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The capacity to work enthusiastically within the parameters of the Stymie Mission and Guiding Principles and to its vision for all Australians to live their best lives.
