SurfAid is a non-profit international development organisation founded in 2000 with a mission to improve the health, well-being, and resilience of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. Our locally-led programs in the Indo-Pacific focus on providing access to clean water and sanitation, basic healthcare, and improved nutrition.

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring SurfAid’s organisational sustainability. This position supports teams across the organisation, enabling them to meet their objectives while overseeing the smooth operation of day-to-day activities. Key responsibilities include leading operational planning, compliance, knowledge and information management, and IT systems. The role also supports program delivery, policy development, human resources, and organisational reporting. Collaborating closely with SurfAid staff and Boards, the Operations Manager fosters a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and transparency throughout the organisation.
Operations Support - 70%
Governance Support -15%
Provide Board support, including reporting, meeting documentation, logistics, and other tasks as needed.
Other tasks as required -15%
Support the CEO and teams with various tasks, including administrative support.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area such as Administration or Management, or equivalent experience.
Experience
The role is a part time role at a 0.8 loading on a one year contract with the potential to extend.
The role is predominantly work from home with regular visits to SurfAid's Alexandria office.
