Essential:

  • Admitted to practice law in Western Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
  • 2 + years post-admission experience.
  • Experience in Court work.
  • Experience with the Restraining Orders Act, or willingness to learn.
  • Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written English.
  • Reliable and uses personal judgment to promote self-sufficiency in an otherwise supported working environment.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in working in the community legal services sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultural, language, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Experience in shuttle conferencing or ADR
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to fit into a small team with ease.
