St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (Vinnies) has been serving our local community since 1924, offering a “hand up” to people in need. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team making real differences to the lives of people experiencing disadvantage.
As part of the ‘Building Communities Not Prisons’ initiative, the Justice Housing Program (JHP) has been funded by the ACT Government. This initiative supports efforts to reduce reoffending and overcrowding at the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC).
St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn manages the occupancy support services for the Justice Housing program and provides temporary occupancy support to those who otherwise would be incarcerated in the AMC due to a lack of suitable community-based accommodation or have no suitable alternative accommodation on release.
The Case Manager will develop client-led case management plans with occupants in line with the ACT Wellbeing Framework and deliver support to occupants. Please note that this is a part-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
