As an integral member of our team, you will provide holistic care aligned with Swinburne University of Technology's core values in Health & Wellbeing. Reporting to the Counselling Manager, you will receive guidance and supervision to ensure the highest quality of service delivery. Your role will focus on improving access to mental health services, enhancing recovery, and preventing relapse outcomes for young adults from diverse cultures.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Extensive experience in provision of mental health care including completion of mental health assessments, crisis management, and therapeutic interventions based on current evidence-based approaches.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Victorian and National Legislation governing area of practice (e.g. Mental Health Act, Vic 2014).
  • Proficient/Excellent triage skills.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse background.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in either Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
