About the Job

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Research Fellow to contribute to growing the research capacity and impacts of the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) Swinburne and the Social Innovation Research Institute. As the Research Fellow you will be primarily involved in contributing to developing, managing and conducting research projects on social connection, social innovation and digital innovation and publishing research outcomes, working both independently and as part of small teams.

It is expected you will assume project management responsibilities in relation to grant funded and commissioned research, and to undertake administrative and other activities associated with research. You will contribute to community engagement activities both within and outside the University.

This position sits within the Social Innovation Research Institute which is one of six Research Institutes established at Swinburne University. Their main rationale is to build on strengths of existing research centres and programs to scale-up research project size, engage in larger and deeper industry partnerships and encourage interdisciplinary research.

The Social Innovation Research Institute has four flagship programs: Digital Participation; Digital Mental Health; Social Connection; and Public Interest Technology. The Institute links with University campuses and research centres overseas.
