We’re on the lookout for passionate, experienced professionals in the community services sector who are ready to take the next step in their careers by sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of industry leaders.

We’re seeking educators with real-world experience in community services, particularly in areas such as Counselling (counselling qualification required), Family violence support, Client assessment & case management, Children at risk roles or Mental health & mental health peer work (peer workers must have lived experience and at least 1 year in a peer worker role).

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • A passion for teaching & learning – Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and high-quality learning experiences.
  • Innovation & adaptability – Confidence in using modern learning technologies and teaching methods to enhance student success.
  • Industry awareness – A strong understanding of current trends and developments in community services.
  • Commitment to excellence – Ability to develop training programs and assessment resources that meet industry and student needs.
  • Availability to teach at least 1 day a week during the term/semester periods.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)

OR

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

OR

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units:
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
    • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

AND

    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, OR
    • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools OR
    • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools

OR

  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification in community services or related field of experience
