As the Head of Business Development and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in executing our strategic vision, while providing hands-on leadership and driving operational excellence for our organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the operational pillars of our strategic plan and support our leadership team in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational leadership – leading day to day operations of the organisation, developing and implementing scalable systems and processes to support operational consistency and improvements.
  • Financial leadership - Develop and implement a sustainable financial structure and long-term development goals. Drive revenue growth through innovative strategies, optimising existing revenue streams, and exploring new opportunities.
  • Strategic leadership - Identify and assess development and growth opportunities, potential partnerships, and new initiatives. Lead the implementation of strategic projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • People leadership - Provide inspirational and professional leadership to build a culture of staff engagement and teamwork. Actively support the organisation’s mission, vision and values.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development and Operations lead who thrives in a values-driven organisation. You will bring:

  • A proven track record of operational leadership in education, not-for-profit, or related sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue generation.
  • Strategic thinking and a track record of executing development and growth initiatives, project management and managing change effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of staff engagement and teamwork, helping others achieve their potential.
