We are calling for expressions of interest from people who share our vision of a future in which there is equality of access to justice and women and children are free from domestic and family violence.

We support people in South West Sydney with legal issues and women and children affected by domestic and family violence in South West Sydney, City of Sydney, Inner West and Waverley.

We reached 16,608 people during FY 2024 a 57% increase from FY2023. We employ 80+ people and our annual revenue is over $11.5 million.

We are seeking a volunteer Board member who has extensive skills and experience in financial management, including a solid understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, accounting and cash flow management. • Domestic and family violence services

Our board members must have a strong commitment to social justice. Applicants with board experience or AICD board training or similar, will also be highly regarded.

  • Accountability – we empower our people
  • Teamwork – we work better together

Meetings are generally held in person after 5.30pm, 4-5 times per year plus an AGM at our Bankstown office or another central location. The Board member will also be asked to join a Finance Sub-committee, which meets quarterly, and to work with the COO and CFO in reporting and the audit.

We serve a culturally and linguistically diverse community. Applicants from CALD backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with the required experience are strongly encouraged to express their interest in this vacancy.
