A healthy community. A healthy career.

Are you ready to be part of something bigger, something good?

At South Western Sydney Primary Health Network, our mission is simple. We’re building healthier communities.

Through connection and care, we tackle the healthcare challenges of our region by supporting primary health providers. And as a not-for-profit, we’re passionate about improving services to meet the diverse health needs of our region.

That really matters. And so do you.

Your impact, where you’re really needed.

As our highly valued Mental Health Intake Officer, you’ll use your time management, data entry and mental health knowledge to process, allocate and advise of the best mental health service available at SWSPHN.

You’ll make an impact at scale by:

  • Processing incoming mental health referrals, assessing for eligibility and assign to the most appropriate SWSPHN commissioned service
  • Utilise the PHNs Client Information Management System (CIMS) to maintain referral information
  • Liaise with and provide support to referrers, commissioned service providers and consumers and action general enquiries

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge of the primary mental health sector, and an understanding of the SWS primary mental health system specifically.
  • Ability to provide a general (non-clinical) assessment of the eligibility of referral.
  • Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Client Information Management Systems or conducting data entry activities on a range of Microsoft based programs.
  • Excellent communication skills
