Community Liaison Coordinator (Disability Employment Services) - Ringwood

As a Community Liaison Coordinator, you will actively develop positive relationships with employer and stakeholders to increase opportunities for SYC’s Disability Employment Services (DES). SYC delivers employment services at over 50 locations throughout Australia, and you’ll be based at our Ringwood, VIC site, you may also be required to travel the North Eastern suburbs for the role.

In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of wellbeing, independence, and opportunity for everyone. Day to day activities will include:

  • Actively promote and market Disability Employment Services directly to job seekers, school leavers and employers
  • Positively grow Disability Employment Services caseloads through direct registrations
  • Encourage market participants to potential employers that result in job placement
  • Maintain knowledge of and provide expert advice on the local community and labour market

About You

As someone who enjoys working autonomously within a broader team environment, you will be passionate about developing relationships with employers, relevant stakeholders, and participants to achieve success in their employment journey! You will be outcomes focused and enjoy the challenge of meeting targets and deadlines. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, and written skills, and the ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations.
  • Self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems

For this role, you will need to:

  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Be eligible to work in Australia
