Taldumande Youth Services has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the busy team at our head office in St Leonards.

Reporting to the Casework Coordinator-Specialist Homelessness Services, this full time permanent position will be responsible for:

• Conducting intakes, assessments and risk assessments
• Developing care plans
• Providing outreach/case management and advocacy support to young people and their families
• Collaborating with external agencies and community partners
• Maintain case notes and records in line with organisational policies and procedures

The successful candidate will hold:

• A completed tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or similar
• Current Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, Police Check and First Aid Certification
• A strong and successful track record over at least two years in a similar position working with young people
• Demonstrated experience in child/youth welfare or family services, preferably within the community sector
• Strong assessment, case management and counselling skills
• The ability to navigate the social services system
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• A client-centred focus and approach
