The Nintirri Centre is a warm, inclusive community hub that walks alongside people through all stages of life and from all walks of life.

Located in Tom Price, we employ over 50 staff members and provide core services within Tom Price and the wider Pilbara. These services include Early Years Care & Education, Community Health and Wellbeing, Community Resource Centre, Supporting of the Karijini Experience, Tom Price Arts Hub, Family Domestic Violence Prevention Service, Playgroup and our Community Op Shop.

About the role

This role is based in Tom Price offering a rare chance to live and work near the stunning Karijini National Park. Enjoy the beauty of the Pilbara region while making a meaningful impact.

The Nintirri Centre is now looking for an individual interested in utilising their skills to support the CEO and very diverse operations of the organisation.

  • Operational Leadership – Oversee the planning and delivery of key programs, ensuring they align with organisational objectives and community needs.
  • Financial Management – Develop and manage budgets, draft and coordinate financial reporting and audits, accounts payable and receivables.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance – Oversee and support the implementation of strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Human Resources Management –Recruitment, onboarding, staff compliance, payroll, performance management, and award interpretation.
  • Funding & Grants – Identify new funding opportunities, prepare grant applications, tenders, and funding proposals.
  • Marketing & Communications – Support and manage social media and marketing strategies to enhance engagement and outreach.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, funding bodies, and key community stakeholders.
  • Acting CEO Responsibilities – Step into the Executive Officer role as required in the CEO’s absence.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Valid Working with Children Check & Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Leadership & People Management – Proven experience in leading teams, cultivating a positive workplace culture, and driving staff development and performance.
  • Operational & Strategic Oversight – Ability to oversee multiple programs, implement strategic plans, and ensure alignment with organisational goals and community needs.
  • Financial & Business Acumen – Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and funding management, including experience with grants and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Demonstrated ability to build relationships with funding bodies, government agencies, and community partners, while effectively communicating with internal teams.
  • Technology & Systems Proficiency – Comfortable using digital tools, business software, and data systems to improve operations and reporting.
  • Compliance & Governance – Knowledge of HR practices, recruitment, workplace compliance, and the ability to step into leadership roles as needed, including acting as CEO when required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Accounting & Financial Software Proficiency – Experience using accounting software such as MYOB or similar financial management tools.
  • Not-for-Profit & Community Services Experience – Previous experience working in not-for-profit organisations or community-focused initiatives.
  • Regional or Remote Work Experience – Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in delivering services in regional or remote communities.
