Tandem was established in 1994 and is proud to be the trusted voice of family, carers and supporters in mental health in Victoria.
As the Victorian peak body with a sole focus on the needs and interests of mental health carers. Tandem is committed to ensuring that the importance of the contribution, expertise, experiences and needs of family, carers and supporters is recognised and addressed. We advocate strongly that they are essential partners in recovery, service governance and delivery, planning, research, and evaluation.
As a Lived Experience Advisor, your role is essential in elevating the voice of family carers and supporters to drive meaningful change across Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing system. Using your own lived experience expertise, you will apply translational and participatory research methodologies to ensure that best-practice family carer research informs policy, services, and reform.
You will advise on insights from Tandem data to shape research and policy agendas, ensuring lived experience perspectives are embedded in decision-making.
