Based in Toowoomba with offices in Ipswich, Goondiwindi, Roma, Hervey Bay, and Gympie, Tasc National (Legal and Social Justice Services) provides a broad range of services including legal advice and advocacy support to clients across the greater southern Queensland region.
Key to success in delivering our services in what are often complex legal and regulatory systems is developing a sound understanding of our purpose, and clearly, consistently, and accessibly articulating this to our client and stakeholder groups.
We are building a culture for staff that is engaging, supportive, and innovative, and one in which we can provide the best possible experience and outcomes for clients in a values-based framework.
As a Communications Specialist with Tasc, your role is central to the organisation, partnering with the operational leaders to develop a meaningful communications plan for each team that closely aligns with our overall strategy, with the goal of ensuring that our clients and stakeholders know who we are and what we do best.
You will take ownership of the plan-build for Tasc’s communications strategy, combining your own skills, experience and vision with guidance from the management team.
This role is pivotal in creating meaningful engagement with our stakeholders, staff, and clients.
The ability to consider your work through the lens of client impact is essential. You will hold qualifications in or be studying communications or marketing at a tertiary level, and have recent, relevant experience in a similar role. An understanding of the for-purpose/non-profit sector is essential, and knowledge of or experience within Community Legal is highly desirable.
You must be eligible to hold Positive Notice for Working with Children, and Disability Services clearances (mandatory criminal history screening).
The qualities we seek are innovation, adaptability and compassion in an individual who takes a collaborative approach to problem solving and leads by example. A positive attitude, the ability to value and respect each person for their contributions to the team, professionalism, resilience and a genuine desire to achieve better outcomes for clients facing adversity are highly desirable. The ability to work in a trauma-informed practice framework is essential.
You will be based in our Toowoomba office, but regular travel to Ipswich will be required, and occasional travel to our remote office locations.
This position is initially offered at L4-5 of the SCHADS Award. Salary packaging is available.
We will be actively recruiting during this time, so please don’t delay in forwarding your expression of interest via the Apply Now link.
