About us

Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) has a rich history in eco-tourism, dating back to 1987 with the launch of the iconic Cradle Mountain Huts Walk. Over the following thirty years, TWC has expanded its offering to deliver a collection of outstanding guided walks including the Bay of Fires Lodge Walk, Wineglass Bay Sail Walk, Three Capes Lodge Walk, and the Bruny Island Long Weekend.

In 2015, TWC moved to the mainland, launching a partnership with the Australian Walking Company (AWC), which started with the acquisition of the Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk and now continues with a vision to create new guided-walk experiences on mainland Australia. Collectively TWC, AWC and the Tas Walking Co Foundation are internally known as ‘The Walking Group’ (TWG).

In 2022, our expansion now includes "Guided by Nature", taking The Walking Group’s legacy to a global scale, bringing an array of unique walks across diverse continents, each meticulously crafted by the same passionate team behind our iconic Tasmanian experiences

As we venture beyond our familiar landscapes, "Guided by Nature" remains steadfast in our commitment to sustainable operations within sensitive environments and our dedication to delivering outstanding guided walks.
