Your New Role

In this Finance Project Lead role, you will report to the Director of Finance and will provide analytical support for finance/business projects, using critical thinking, communication skills, and data analysis to drive execution and process improvement. Your technical finance, change management and interpersonal skills will be put to great use.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support projects with relevant analysis, financial modelling and other tasks such as process change management
  • Identify process and system gaps in major accounting processes and management reporting accuracy and efficiency issues and develop improvement plans and or projects with relevant stakeholders and working teams.
  • Work in accordance with the Professional Governance Framework to ensure the services and support we provide to our clients and each other are person centred, connected, effective and safe.
  • Provide support to resolving reporting issues such as those triggered by new system implementation and change.
  • Coach and develop the finance teams’ knowledge of end-to-end processes that transform data input to reportable information, fostering a transformation mindset and promoting positivity towards the changes.
  • Own the tasks related to routine accounting, data and reporting preparation, such as those related to month-end journals, management reports and funders/donors’ financial reports.

What you need to succeed?

As an experienced Finance professional, you will have a qualification in accounting or business finance with relevant working experience, particularly analytical experience.

You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and the natural ability to influence and communicate with people at all levels.

To be successful in this highly visible role and make an impact you must have demonstrated experience with change/improvement project management in previous work. Industry experience is highly regarded but not mandatory for the right person!
