The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.
As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The Service Support Coordinator (SSC) plays a key role in supporting the delivery of multiple programs, including Communities for Children (CfC), Family Connect and Support (FCS), and our Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) programs. This role provides high-level administrative, financial, stakeholder engagement, and operational support to ensure services run smoothly, are well-documented, and meet compliance, invoicing, and reporting requirements.
A key focus of this role is supporting data collection, analysis, and remediation efforts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and meaningful insights that drive service improvement. The SSC will play an active role in identifying gaps, streamlining data processes, and enhancing data proficiency across the team.
As an SSC, you will support invoicing, financial reconciliation, and payment processing for services provided. You will coordinate scheduling, logistics, and reporting for meetings, training, and program activities. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records and databases to support data-driven decision-making. Assisting in the onboarding and training of new staff and volunteers is also part of your responsibilities. Acting as a key liaison between internal teams, funding bodies, and partner organisations, you will ensure all activities align with organisational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. A ‘best life’ is unique to everyone and can change as life changes:
