About the role:

You’ll develop your skills as a strategic thinker and leader, networker, communicator, and fundraising professional.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, you will lead and manage Tearfund’s philanthropy team program focusing on cultivating and securing major gifts and bequests. In this role, will you play a key part in driving sustained growth and support for Tearfund's important work?

Position Location:

Based in any Australian capital city on the eastern seaboard (Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane). Currently Tearfund adopts a hybrid working approach.

What you’ll need to have:

  • A deep personal commitment to a more just and compassionate world, along with the ability to communicate this in a compelling and personable way.
  • Experience of leading philanthropy and relational fundraising programs ideally in the not-for-profit sector with a track record of achievement in donor engagement and stewarding.
  • Experience leading healthy and high functioning teams.
  • Ability to work with a CRM system, along with reporting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity, active involvement in, and broad understanding of the evangelical church and community.
  • A relevant undergraduate qualification or an equivalent, alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience in fundraising.
