Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of women overcoming addiction and life-controlling issues? Teen Challenge QLD is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caseworker to join our Women's Centre in Toowoomba.

About the Role

As a casual Caseworker, you will have flexibility and work directly with clients, providing supervision, mentoring, support, and guidance in their journey toward healing and restoration. You will play a crucial role in facilitating group activities, personal studies, Christian devotions, and assisting with daily living skills. You will also be responsible for coordinating professional appointments, facilitating programmed events, and ensuring a safe and structured environment.

This role reports to the Team Leader and requires on-call duties and some weekend/night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong rapport with clients and provide supervision, mentoring, and emotional support
  • Facilitate Christian devotions, group activities, and personal studies
  • Assist clients in developing daily living skills and maintaining appropriate behavioural standards
  • Organise and facilitate professional appointments (Doctors, Psychologists, Counsellors, Community Health Workers, Centrelink, etc.)
  • Supervise work duties and facilitate recreational outings
  • Administer medication and ensure a safe, structured environment
  • Accurately collect data and report on client progress
  • Assist in fundraising activities to support the program

About You

We are looking for someone who is experienced, resilient, and aligned with our Christian values and mission.

Essential:

  • A passion for working with women facing addiction and life challenges
  • Strong ability to mentor, support, and build trust with clients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Current Driver’s License & Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card)

Desirable but not essential:

  • Certificate IV (minimum) in a relevant field (AOD, Mental Health, Community Services, etc.)
  • Experience working within a Therapeutic Community Model.
