The opportunity

• Based in either Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea or can be remote based work
• Full-time ongoing role
• Opportunity to contribute to meaningful and transformative development work

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of programs across the Indo-Pacific region across a variety of technical areas such as education, scholarships, economic development, infrastructure, policing, law and justice and inclusion, justice and transformation.
• Manage complex contracts to ensure we meet our project outcomes and ensure timely and high quality delivery of milestones.
• Drive performance excellence across all areas of program delivery.
• Oversee project reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and support program teams.
• Identify and implement business growth opportunities, service improvements, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Selection criteria

• A degree in Project Management, Commerce, Business or related field, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
• Experience managing complex projects, preferably in International Development or a similar sector. DFAT funded program experience desired.
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational and planning experience with a high attention to detail.
