MDLC's Cottage Program offers a quiet and supportive learning environment developed to support and encourage young people to re-engage back into education.
This role presents an opportunity for part-time work over two days, within school hours and during school terms.
The Education Support Worker will work closely with students to restore their confidence and support their progress in their education pathway. They will provide essential support to classroom teachers to maximise outcomes for students.
The role requires a person who has an understanding of young people who have an experience of General Anxiety Disorder or Social Anxiety Disorder (and other related mental health issues) and who have had periods of school refusal or who find attending school difficult.
The successful candidate will have empathy and understanding for the challenges faced by students in the Cottage Program. They will respect the nurturing and supportive environment at MDLC by maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude at all times.
