Over the past 15 years, we have walked alongside over 1,000 women in pregnancy and early parenting at our centres in Croydon and Frankston. With a focus on empowerment and trauma-informed care, and with the help of generous supporters and dedicated volunteers, we are changing the landscape of perinatal support in Australia to ensure women and their babies can access the holistic support they need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Corporate and Commercial Partnerships Officer will play a pivotal role in securing sustainable revenue for The Babes Project by developing strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities. This role focuses on establishing and managing relationships with corporate sponsors, community organisations, and external stakeholders while leveraging The Babes Project's existing expertise to create and market educational programs and resources for commercial use.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a corporate partnership strategy to secure sponsorships, grants, and in-kind contributions.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with businesses, community groups, and philanthropic organisations to foster financial support.
  • Lead the strategic development, creation, and marketing of educational programs, courses, and resources derived from The Babes Project’s services for commercial income (e.g., workshops, online courses, resource kits).
  • Develop tailored proposals and partnership agreements that align corporate and community objectives with The Babes Project’s mission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of commercial programs into service offerings.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes to refine strategies and enhance financial sustainability.

Key Selection criteria

Essential:

  • Proven experience in business development, corporate partnerships, or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and market educational or training programs.
  • Experience in securing corporate sponsorships and community partnerships.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align revenue-generating initiatives with organisational impact.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector or social enterprise development.
  • Knowledge of perinatal services, social impact measurement, or program evaluation.
  • Experience in developing online courses or digital learning materials.
