The Beautiful Bunch is a Melbourne-based floral delivery service bringing joy through flowers and creating jobs for women from refugee backgrounds. We are a social enterprise, offering training and employment opportunities to young women who are experiencing challenges to finding employment. Our purpose is to support our trainees to build the confidence, skills, and social networks needed to find meaningful work and begin the path to achieving their dreams.

We are hiring a talented Horticulturist for a 12-month project-based role, with potential for ongoing full-time employment. The Horticulturalist role will be responsible for overseeing the launch of Bb* Botanics, a new indoor plant delivery and maintenance service, bringing the botanical world and living greenery to Melbourne businesses and corporate spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all tasks pertaining to The Beautiful Bunch’s new indoor plant delivery and maintenance service
  • Curate our indoor plant offering, creating suitable packages for a diverse range of requirements
  • Ensure robust plant care and management, conducting regular visits to client sites to ensure product integrity is maintained
  • Liaise with clients, from initial contact (in-person consults, quotes, etc), to installation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring exceptional quality of product and customer service
  • Work with The Beautiful Bunch leadership team to promote our new offering to potential clients
  • Train the wider Beautiful Bunch team, up-skilling our trainees in indoor horticulture principles and practices

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant experience in a previous role
  • A Certificate lll Horticulture is preferable
  • Administration and computer skills - Microsoft Programs, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organisational and time/priority management skills
