ABOUT YOU

As a Client Account Manager, you are a self-driven individual who is used to managing large portfolios of clients and you already know how to nurture and strengthen existing relationships.

You will be the lead contact for several key clients supporting them with strategic partnership and development right through to the execution of multi-channel campaigns. Working with a variety of clients, you will nurture existing relationships and continually develop their fundraising programs to achieve desired results.

This is a key role within our organisation with flexible working conditions that enable working from home & with flexibility to work from the Sydney office as restrictions continue to be lifted.

Due to the nature of our work it will also require travel from time to time (as borders open and restrictions ease) within Australia.

For now, we require someone who is used to working in the world of online ZOOM meetings where the proximity to being face to face makes no difference in this landscape.

This key operational position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of clients, and for ensuring all partnerships receive high quality account management and that key metrics and deliverables are met.

Furthermore, the position requires supporting and working with the company’s Directors and General Manager in successfully providing account management to the entire client portfolio and collaborating with other Managers across the broader FIN team.

We’re looking for our next ‘A’ Grade Client Account Manager who is passionate, committed & dedicated to making a difference together across all parties within our supply chain.

Permanent full time position with salary starting at $70,000, based on experience.

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities Required:

  • Be a main point of contact for the organisations key clients
  • Provide the highest levels of customer service and improve on existing client relationships
  • Organise client meetings and briefings on a regular basis
  • Secure and reaching agreements with Charities and not-for-profit organisations
  • Research, identify and nurture client prospects, including furthering opportunities with current clients
  • Quickly and effectively respond to new client leads
  • Prepare and present high quality business proposals and presentations
  • Assist in negotiating and securing agreements with potential clients
  • Ensure that agreements are prepared for all business secured, ensuring that deadlines and financial agreements are confirmed
  • Work with data agencies and data analysts to source data, analyse trends and then provide post campaign analysis that is focused on continual improvement
  • Provide accurate quoting and oversee invoicing for accounts managed
  • Develop and maintain relationships and represent The FIN Agency at external meetings / conferences / receptions / client events
  • Work with the relevant regulating bodies for the Fundraising sector to stay ahead of the market shifts and to ensure all codes and standards of practice are adhered to with best business practices in mind
  • Be responsible for continuous learning, development and innovation whilst contributing to a vibrant and energetic workforce

QUALITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong account management skills with 2-5 years’ experience with either a fundraising agency or an NGO, or both, account management in other industries if not fundraising specific will be favoured
  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience in interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record in challenging the status quo
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, work independently and maintain successful professional relationships across distance
  • Experience in setting expectations internally and externally
  • Practical knowledge of face-to-face fundraising or a willingness and ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the individual giving product area
  • A highly proactive approach with exceptional organisational, interpersonal and planning skills
  • A working knowledge of the direct sales and marketing sector
  • Be flexible, patient, able to adapt to new systems and procedures as well as bring new innovation and thought towards new systems and procedures to the table for discussion
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Strong ability to influence others and effectively manage conflict
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and people and adhere to deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite of products – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc)
  • Ability to host, manage and run online meetings via ZOOM and Teams effectively and regularly
  • Exceptional team player who is always aware of the team around them
  • Emotional aptitude and awareness of self and others
  • Willingness to travel if and when borders and restrictions ease
  • Confidence and ability to take control of a situation where appropriate with the ability to lead, motivate and influence
