Salary Range of $110k to $123k Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit. 

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Biostatistician to be part of our Biostatistics and Data Science Division who are responsible for statistical support across TGI. 

'Our successful candidate will have a join appointment to the Rental and Metabolic program responsible for the analysis of studies conducted by the Renal and Metabilic program. 

 Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Contribute to the development of new research proposal
  • Work in collaboration with research staff from the Renal and Metabolic program
  • Provide statistical experience
  • Design, analysis, review and interpret clinical trial data
  • Prepare derived datasets for the analyses in R, SAS, and/ or Stata
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses
  • Review and implement appropriate statistical methos to available literature
  • Participate, review and prepare statistical section of study synopses, protocols and study reports
  • Prepare sample size estimations and justifications
  • Actively participate in team meetings and activities within the Renal and Statistical programs 

Our Successful Candidate  

  • Masters or PhD with a major in statistics/ Biostatistics or related field
  • Experience using R, SAS, Stata
  • Experience in statistical analyses and programming in a medical research/ clinical trials environment
  • Sound understanding of data management principles and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and medical research
  • Ability to create bespoke publication ready figures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery of work
  • Experience in working collaboratively in a team with researchers and other statisticians
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High problem solving sills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
