Are you an experienced and organised Events Manager? Do you have time flexibility?
We have a busy role in a small education charity that works with partners in Australia and overseas to create education opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
The LBW Trust is a Social Impact partner of Cricket Australia, and we also collaborate with other cricket associations, a range of corporates, universities, community fundraisers, other NGOs, and volunteers. You will be integral to organising our face-to-face fundraising events such as annual dinner, corporate backyard cricket and multicultural carnivals, with support from an experienced volunteer committee and the CEO. We currently operate events in NSW, Victoria, ACT, and Western Australia.
The Events Manager is responsible for:
Event coordination and management
- Deliver all areas of event logistics including: developing event briefs and plans; project management; maintaining accurate record keeping/work in progress files; venue management; liaising with committees; budget management, and site coordination
- Liaise with internal and external suppliers, committees, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, attendees.
- Manage ticketing and other fundraising activities.
- Oversee the delivery of events including managing volunteers and event staff.
- Develop budgets and follow approved expenditure.
Required Skills & Experience
- Five years' experience in events, preferably within a sporting or not-for-profit, charitable context
- Strong IT skills, including exposure to Raisely, Mailchimp, Eventbrite or similar
- Ability to manage competing priorities, with sound judgment to manage operational matters in a timely manner.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, with the ability to thrive in a small team
Required Behaviours
- Understanding of the not-for-profit sector and importance of events in securing fundraising success.
- Ability to work well as part of a fast paced, diverse team.
- Flexibility to be available for key events, which may fall outside office hours

Key relationships
Reporting to the CEO of The LBW Trust, the Events Manager works closely with our Marketing and Communications Manager as well as members of The LBW Trust’s committees.
