For over 100 years The Leprosy Mission Australia has partnered with Australians to ensure that people affected by leprosy across the world get the cure, care, and restoration they need to live life in all its fullness. As part of a global network comprised of 30 Members and Affiliates, we are working together to reach their goal of zero Leprosy transmission by 2035.
In 2024, The Leprosy Mission as an international organisation will be celebrating 150 years of bringing healing and dignity to people who have been affected by leprosy.
The Leprosy Mission is an organisation driven by Christian values to extend the hand of ‘mateship’ to those affected by Leprosy, disability and other marginalised people. Our programs are on the ground in India, Nepal, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Timor Leste.
Reporting to the CEO you will take ownership of the existing Major Gifts portfolio with a clear focus on growing each of your assigned revenue streams; Major Gifts (High net worth donors), Corporations, Trusts & Foundations (Family & Corporate) and Grants.
As Strategic Relationships Lead you will be a self-driven relationship manager with the ability to build a robust fundraising pipeline and have the resilience and patience to see this through. You will provide a high level of donor engagement techniques including phone calls, face to face meetings, online meetings, strategic digital and offline communications, and an array of events.
You will research, identify, establish and nurture relationships with your prospects and existing portfolio to grow support for the work and mission of the organisation and play a vital role in the organisation's continued success.
Working closely with the CEO and the Fundraising & Communications Manager you will take the lead to develop, promote and execute a range of activities that celebrate the 150 years of The Leprosy Mission in 2024, including fundraising events, campaigns, and product offerings that increase awareness of The Leprosy Mission Australia.
The role has the full support of the CEO and Board, a recent wealth scan has been completed, impact and case for support reports are in place and there is internal team support and resources available to really make this a success. If you want to be a part of a legacy that says ‘goodbye’ to Leprosy then this could be the role for you.
Please note that TLMA has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect, and exploitation to all people. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and all employees are required to act in such a way that always safeguards the health and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults.
All TLM staff are required to participate in mandatory safeguarding training.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a National Police Check.
