Reporting to the Development Director you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing multi-channel fundraising content with a focus on increasing engagement with both existing donors and prospective donors across all four of Wildlife Conservation International’s projects: The Orangutan Project, the International Elephant Project, the International Tiger Project and Forests for People.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Donor Stewardship
- Development of donor-centric fundraising copy and content for a range of online and offline channels, including campaigns, eNews and donor journey content.
- Increase retention of one-off and monthly donors through campaigns, engagement, and donor journey messaging.
Social Media Communications
- Developing content and scheduling distribution via social media channels, primarily Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Youtube content management.
- Grow the number of supporters and engagement across all four brands.
Additional tasks and responsibilities
- Modifying website copy, including blog posts.
- Attending team meetings as required.
- Reporting on assigned Tasks and Responsibilities.
- Other duties as required by the team.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- A minimum of three years proven experience in copywriting.
- A minimum of three years proven experience in creating, planning, coordinating multi-channel social media content.
Highly Desirable
- Proven experience in developing engaging fundraising copy and online content.
- Setting up and managing Mailchimp campaigns.
Desirable
- Proficiency with office collaboration software/applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience working with online platforms such as customer relationship databases (CRMs), email campaign platforms, and online content management systems (CMSs).
- Previous experience or a strong interest in fundraising for the conservation charity sector.
