This exciting role will provide trauma-informed, culturally safe and affirming case management support to LGBTIQ+ community members and people living with HIV, who have experienced family and/or domestic violence.
As a Specialist LGBTIQ+ Family and Domestic Violence Practitioner you will work collaboratively with clients and mainstream family and domestic violence services to create safety, access appropriate supports and services, build capacity and achieve desired goals. You will also assist in building the capacity of the mainstream family and domestic violence sector through the establishment of collaborative initiatives and the provision of training and consultation.
You will possess case management knowledge and skills, a comprehensive understanding of family and domestic violence, excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of people from the LGBTIQ+ community, particularly trans and gender diverse individuals.
