The role

The Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer is responsible for developing and delivering the Marketing, Stakeholder engagement and Business Development strategies for ANZRP. This includes developing and maintaining strong member relations, growing, and enhancing ANZRP’s relationship with external stakeholders, building the ANZRP brand as a leading voice in e-stewardship and developing new business services and opportunities that support their members.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Brand Management and ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns.
  • Manage research activity to understand issues and trends in e-waste recycling behaviour and attitudes in Australia.
  • Negotiate and manage all marketing suppliers not limited to PR, media, web, and advertising.
  • Put together briefs for agencies for member information and news briefs.
  • Oversee communication tools for all stakeholders – brochures, newsletters, flyers, and member information packs.
  • Establish and co-ordinate stakeholder forums.
  • Oversee website content and social media channels, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

In addition, you will:

  • Engage ANZRP members to understand their needs in relation to product stewardship.
  • Develop and deliver tailored services to meet member needs, in consultation with other ANZRP executives.
  • Develop advocacy strategies with the CEO and support implementation.
  • Undertake initial project assessments through to detailed business case development for board approval.
  • Facilitate and promote sustainability actions and projects to support members.
  • Manage a small team.

Other requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary degree qualifications.
  • Extensive experience working in communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement and/or business development roles.
  • Relationship management experience, ideally in a membership organisation.
  • Liaison with industry, government and/or NGOs.
  • Liaison with CEOs and senior executives.
