Our interaction designers define and design the aesthetic and interactions that make an experience accessible, engaging and usable; collaborating with technology, strategy, content and delivery to bring that experience to life. Your individual creative process is your most powerful tool.
You will guide users, collaborators and clients through that process, helping them through ambiguity toward clarity.
Your mission is to champion great visual, interaction and communication design on a complex multi-year program of work that will impact millions of Victorians and visitors.
You’ll create and test prototypes, low-fidelity concepts, and beta-ready products. Your work is marked by a solid foundation of accessibility, eye for detail, and usability.
We’re Today, Australia’s most awarded social impact agency. We use design and technology to make change happen at pace and at scale.
We tackle society’s biggest challenges and drive positive change, in sectors such as arts and public spaces, youth and families, cities, transport and housing, climate, education, First Nations justice, health and wellbeing, public service, and sustainable economy.
We believe in human-centred design, collaboration across crafts (strategy, research, design, content, delivery), and we have a passionate team of 60+ in Naarm (Melbourne) with a new Gadigal (Sydney) branch taking off.
You’ll experience a welcoming environment filled with smart, fun, and caring people from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines, who are passionate about creativity, making change, and learning from each other. Learn more about our values and culture at today.design/careers.
Even if you don’t perfectly match every criterion or consider yourself too junior, we encourage you to apply. Research shows that many qualified individuals hesitate to apply unless they meet all requirements—regardless, we prioritise potential over a checklist.
We warmly welcome applications from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers, and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
