We are Australia’s most awarded social impact agency.

We use design and technology to make change happen, at pace and at scale. In the last 12 months, we’ve designed and built Australia’s first online family violence intervention order, established a new approach to co-design for the Victorian mental health sector, built a peer-to-peer product that helps people learn Auslan, and launched a campaign to shift mainstream perceptions of climate change—plus many more.

Our practice is built on strong foundations of human-centred design and digital making. There are around 60 of us, based mostly in Naarm (Melbourne), working across strategy, research, design, content, delivery and a wonderful support team.

About the role

As the Studio Experience Manager at Today, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our studio is not only functional but also reflects our brand values of creativity, innovation, and exceptional client service.

You will oversee all aspects of studio management, team and client experiences, supplier relationships, and asset management to create a seamless and inspiring workplace.

Your days will be spent:

Managing the studio

  • Ensuring the studio is immaculate, well-stocked, and accessible for all visitors
  • Managing budgets for consumables and operational needs
  • Overseeing documentation and utilisation of operational policies and procedures

Owning the exceptional experience of the team and clients

  • Welcoming, setting up and catering for client meetings, workshops and other events
  • Planning and coordinating internal team events, including weekly, monthly & quarterly rituals and celebrations
  • Identifying and recommending new initiatives to support a happy and engaged team

Managing suppliers

  • Managing existing relationships with suppliers
  • Researching and sourcing new suppliers aligned with our ethical supplier processes

Managing assets and tools

  • Running asset/tool inductions for new team members
  • Supporting the team with new tools and troubleshooting existing tools
  • Organising repairs, maintenance and recycling of studio assets

Who are you?

You are someone with:

  • Previous experience in studio/office management, venue management or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance client and team experiences through thoughtful planning and execution, ideally including event management
  • Strong skills in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and contract administration
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to handle unexpected issues calmly and efficiently
  • Proficiency with or capability to learn studio-wide tools and software
  • The ability to legally work in Australia.

The nitty gritty:

This is a full-time, ongoing role. We are looking for someone to start asap, however we are flexible. This role requires someone who is based in Naarm (Melbourne), and is able to be onsite five days a week. Due to the physical demands of the role, someone who is physically able to run a busy studio.
