Warmun is an Aboriginal community in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. It sits on the Great Northern Highway, approximately 200km south-west of Kununurra, 160km north of Halls Creek and 800km northeast of Broome.

Overview

The Warmun Community office is the interface with community members and visitors, including local and regional service providers and visitors to the Warmun Art Centre. The Office Manager is required to ensure that the supply and maintenance of office equipment meets the needs of program staff and the administrative functions of the organisation, in addition to coordinating the maintenance of Warmun’s housing stock.

The Office Manager provides executive support to the CEO, liaises with the accounting service, and ensures that efficient payroll procedures and records are developed and maintained. Warmun Community (Turkey Creek) Inc. has a contract with Services Australia to maintain a Centrelink Agency and the Office Manager will ensure that Warmun Community meets these contractual responsibilities.

Conditions

  • Annual Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (Dep). Salary sacrifice is available.
  • Annual Leave: 5 weeks
  • Accommodation: Fully maintained, fully furnished, air-conditioned house including power and garbage collection. A nominal rent of $60 per fortnight will be deducted from wages.
  • Extras: Relocation Expenses: Up to $2,500 on the presentation of receipts. Repatriation Expenses: Up to $2,500 on the presentation of receipts after 12 months service. One return airfare to previous home base per annum, to be taken in conjunction with annual leave (after 12 months service).
