Are you a highly organised, proactive professional ready to make a difference in the exciting space of Treaty in Victoria? This is your chance to step into a dynamic and varied role where no two days are the same! As the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Treaty Authority, you’ll be responsible for managing the CEO’s schedule, coordinating key meetings, preparing critical correspondence, and handling travel arrangements.
You’ll also provide essential secretariat support for governance and leadership meetings – by setting agendas, taking minutes, maintaining action registers, and preparing key reports.
Working closely with the Strategic Advisor and a small but highly effective coordination team, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring everything runs smoothly to help the organisation support a Treaty process that promotes equality for First Peoples and upholds their self-determination. The Treaty Authority is an independent entity with a mandate to facilitate the formation of treaties between the State of Victoria and First Peoples in Victoria.
The Treaty Authority’s work is grounded in Aboriginal culture, lore and law and led collectively by a panel of five Members committed to Aboriginal self-determination and empowerment. It engages with a broad cross-section of stakeholders including the State of Victoria, the First Peoples’ Assembly and Traditional Owners in Victoria.
