With the global growth of our business, we have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a fixed term 12 month contract at our Indooroopilly head office. Our roles have flexible hours, remote/office based work with onsite parking. The role is part of a large finance team with the opportunity to learn and develop your accounting skills.

The Role

The Finance function provides financial services and support for our global offices. The Financial Accountant duties will include:

• Management of some international subsidiary payroll operations; reconciliation, journal processing, approval and resolution of any issues
• Submission of GST/VAT returns
• Assist with the preparation of month and year end reports
• Assist with project reporting
• Provide support with the budget and forecast process
• Compliance tasks
• Transactional team support as required.

The Person

To be considered for this role you must possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting or equivalent industry experience.
• CPA qualified
• 2+ years relevant financial experience from a commercial environment
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
• Problem-solving ability
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet required deadlines
