Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the world's most effective parenting programs, designed to give parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to strengthen family relationships. We are currently seeking applications for a part-time Legal Counsel on a fixed term contract (initially 6 months with potential extension) to join our Head Office team in Indooroopilly.

The Role

Will support the Head of Legal in the provision of legal services to the Triple P Group in Australia and across our international subsidiaries. Duties include:

• Working across a variety of legal projects as directed by the Head of Legal.
• Provision of legal support and general advice, including;
  • Collaborating internally to identify, understand and manage legal risks.
  • Review and draft contracts and licensing agreements.
  • Brand and intellectual property rights.
  • Legislation updates.
  • Data privacy.
• Creation and maintenance of legal policies, templates and agreements.
• Monitor legal compliance and advise as required.
• Interpretation of legislation as it relates to the Triple P Group.

The Person

The skills required for the role are:

• At least five years post admission experience in a commercial environment. In-house experience (as well as private law firm) preferred.
• Unrestricted practising certificate.
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law. Experience in employment, intellectual property and data privacy law desirable.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and legislation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team.
