About the role

As a Senior Medical Officer at True, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality clinical services in sexual and reproductive health, ensuring adherence to Clinical Practice Guidelines and True’s policies. This senior role will involve providing medical leadership, offering specialised care, and contributing to the development and implementation of clinical standards, guidelines, and protocols at the local and state levels. You will also oversee the implementation of a specialised Community Gynaecology model of service and ensure that clinics operate efficiently and effectively.

Working in collaboration with nursing staff and other medical professionals, you will be responsible for fostering professional growth, leading service development, and ensuring best practices are upheld across all clinical operations. In addition, you will be actively involved in professional development, research, quality improvement, and training of clinicians and health professionals.

Selection Criteria

• Expertise and experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health, including early pregnancy management and medical termination of pregnancy.
• Competence in IUD and Implanon insertion, or willingness to obtain in a designated time frame.
• Advanced skills in Women’s Health, including colposcopy training or willingness to complete.
• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Medical Practitioner).
• Demonstrated experience expertise and experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health
• Awareness of key issues in supporting an effective and safe working environment including employment equity, antidiscrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
