Oasis Youth Services is an expression of the Salvation Army based in the Central Coast and Hunter regions of NSW. Oasis delivers a range of youth programs and services for young people aged 12-25 to support their journey to independence. The Administration Assistant is responsible for the clerical, administration and financial tasks required at an operational level for the service and management.
Oversee all general administration, and clerical activities within the service operations including filing (electronic and hard copy), minute taking, mail, data entry, general correspondence and other generalist administration activities supporting management and streams (Youth Support Services, Training and Social Enterprise)
Provide accounting assistance including generating invoices, paying accounts, banking, bank reconciliations, journal entries, levies, utilities, petty cash and stationery orders
In conjunction with management and Team Leaders, recruit, train and maintain volunteers to include student placements and school-based work experience. that enhance the capacity of the service. Ensuring that process systems are in place to support volunteer's development through mentoring, coaching, training and empowering them to achieve the requirements of their role and The Salvation Army's mission
Ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers through reception related activities including all phone, face to face and online enquiries
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for the achievement of effective outcomes for all people. Participate in team activities, attends staff meetings when scheduled and demonstrates a supportive approach to other staff members which contributes to the overall team effectiveness
Responsibility for ensuring that all administration related areas comply with workplace health and safety obligations in line with TSA policy & procedures and relevant legislation. Ensure safe practices are used at all times and incidents and hazards are reported on SolvSafety and reviewed to minimise future risk
Maintain and develop professional knowledge in area of expertise and meets core values and behaviours of TSA. Participating in regular supervision and performance appraisal. And contribute to and participate in appropriate training and professional development activities to improve service delivery and best practice
