Our Family Store is one of the best thrift stores in the area we have an abundance of products from clothing through to furniture. The profits from the Family Store go directly to fund the local community, various social programs and support we offer to those less fortunate.
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to assist and support the Store Manager. This role will mainly have responsibility for the delivery and pick up of donated goods and management of the truck.
You will also assist in overseeing and monitoring the operations of the store ensuring high quality goods are received, pricing and maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the shop.
This position will support a culture of inclusiveness and community spirit amongst the volunteer team, which will in turn enhance the customer experience in the store.
You will be responsible for assisting with the supervision, recruitment and training of all volunteers.
This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week ongoing. Roster is 5 days per week which may include a Saturday shift. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Retail Industry Award 2010, Level 5.
This position will require physical ability to safely stand, sit, walk regularly and for long periods of time. Some responsibilities require the Manager to push, pull, lift, carry and restrain stock, climb ladders, and use computer mouse and eftpos machine. This will all be in line with WHS policies and procedures.
