Assist with food preparation and responsible for the cleanliness of all catering related equipment and flatware including all washing areas at Centennial Lodge, within all food safety and OHS legislation, and in line with The Salvation Army Mission, Vision and values.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Complete all preparation of food in accordance with procedures within the allocated time frames and within legislative requirements.

Adhere to all cleaning, food preparation, presentation and food service procedures and standards to ensure smooth running of back of house and dining room areas at Centennial Lodge

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous kitchen hand experience
  • Having undertaken food hygiene training would be an advantage
  • Professional development required to maintain skills for the role
  • Current Driver's licence
  • Undergo a national police check
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of clients
  • Good attention to detail and sound time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures
  • Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity
  • WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation
  • Flexibility to work on weekends
