About the role

Are you passionate about supporting your community?

We are seeking a dedicated Samaritan House Coordinator! You will provide oversight of the facility such as liaison of maintenance requests and onboard/rostering of volunteers. Additionally, you will be responsible for minor tenancy management duties.

Duties

  • Oversee day to day running of the site including donations, cleaning, volunteers
  • Liaise with board member to arrange maintenance and attendance at site to direct maintenance contractors
  • Maintain accurate property and tenancy data in all required systems
  • Undertake tenancy and property management tasks such as tenancy inductions, inspections, rent reviews
  • Provide reports (oral and written) to the Team leader or Manager as requested
  • Attend relevant team meetings and other meetings on request

This is a fixed term full-time position, until June 2024, based in Geelong, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

You will have

  • Social Work qualification or other relevant social tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience
  • Experience and resilience in working with complex clients presenting with challenging behaviours
  • Ability to encourage and cooperate with others to achieve common goals
  • Responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs
  • A current and valid Employee Working with Children's Check
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence
