ABOUT Twenty10

Twenty10 provides a broad range of specialised services for people of diverse genders, sexualities and variations in sex characteristics (LGBTIQA+) including housing, mental health support, counselling, care co-ordination and social support programming for people aged 12-25 and peer based support via QLife for people of all ages.

We also offer inclusivity training and consultation for organisations, government agencies and service providers across New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to join Twenty10 as we embark on a new organisational chapter at the Inner West Pride Centre, based on Gadigal and Wangal Land, Newtown.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary role of the Client Services Manager is to oversee and support the delivery of the core client facing programs for young LGBTIQA+ people aged 12-25 at Twenty10. They provide supervision to the multidisciplinary Client Services Team who are working across housing, counselling, client engagement, intake and referral and other related programs and play a vital role in maintaining Twenty10's way of working which is a hybrid peer and clinical support model.

They facilitate collaborative working across teams within the organisation, contribute to policy and framework development, contribute to funding applications and opportunities, manage external stakeholder relationships and partnerships and advocate for LGBTIQA+ communities and the organisation through representation on interagencies and other advisory opportunities.

The Client Services Manager is also responsible for oversight in data entry and record keeping in accordance with the organisation's commitments to funding agencies, legislation and its service users and plays an essential role on Twenty10's Management Team.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or related clinical discipline within the behavioural or social sciences, with relevant registration and eligibility for professional association membership.
  2. Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance and National Police Check Certificate upon commencement.
  3. Current NSW Driver’s licence.

Experience Required

  1. Minimum 5 years’ professional experience as a Senior Client Services Officer, Manager, or similar, ideally in a community, peer-based organisation.
  2. Demonstrated experience providing support to a team working in a clinical setting.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the public policy, challenges and social determinants that impact LGBTIQA+ young people and adults mental health, wellbeing and access to affordable, stable accommodation.
  4. Demonstrated experience in the management, support and supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated experience in managing program budgets and reporting.
  6. Demonstrated experience in meeting and group facilitation, with reference to small group work, group dynamics, and therapeutic and/or education programs.
  7. Demonstrated understanding, knowledge and commitment to working with LGBTIQA+ young people, their carers, parents and families.
  8. Demonstrated capacity to work with young people, including those with or at risk of homelessness or marginalisation.
  9. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and culturally diverse communities.

OTHER INFORMATION

The Client Services Manager is a part-time role, working a 9 day fortnight, paid at SCHADS L6. Twenty10 offer salary sacrificing and professional development opportunities to all staff, as well as external clincial supervision to support the work of the Client Services Manager. This role is based at Twenty10 at the Inner West Pride Centre, with some hybrid work options available.
