About the Role

As Project Officer (Diversity & Inclusion) you will contribute to a range of D&I initiatives related to implementation of the University’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2030.

Key responsibilities include supporting the delivery, evaluation and reporting of a range of initiatives across the Diversity and Inclusion team including implementation of action plans, supporting compliance and accreditation programs, coordinating various working/reference groups, and data collection and reporting.

Reporting to the Associate Director (Diversity & Inclusion) you will work collaboratively with members of the D&I team and with a wide range of stakeholders from across the University community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the delivery, evaluation and reporting of a range of diversity and inclusion initiatives related to implementation of the Diversity and inclusion Strategy 2030
  • Assist with data collection, analysis and reporting of a range of D&I data metrics
  • Contribute to communications and engagement initiatives including support of events, content development, and management of webpages
  • Undertake desktop research, benchmarking and other data analyses to support development of briefing papers, reports and presentation materials

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, team members and colleagues. You will have a demonstrated understanding and keen interest in diversity and inclusion. Your excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail, including the ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage work within agreed timeframes will be vital to the role.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience and success supporting the implementation of programs, initiatives or projects
  • Skills in data analysis and reporting, with proficiency in Excel and/or other data management tools
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with respect and discretion

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
